- Entry Fee per artwork: $20
RQAS Brisbane Members: $10
- Entry fees are not refundable, non-transferable and are associated with administration expenses.
- A maximum of 4 works per artist are permitted to be entered.
2D Section:
Artworks mounted on board, stretched canvas, aluminium, works on paper, fabric or other media, including watercolours, drawings, photography, prints, or mixed media or similar to be displayed on wall.
Size of 2D works: Each artwork must not exceed 21x30cm, and an additional 15cm is allowed for framing/mounting (i.e. total framed size no greater than 36x45cm).
3D Section
Free-standing sculptures to be displayed on plinths. 3D works must not exceed 21x21x30cm

Cost $20 per entry
If entrants pay the framing fee you may collect frames from the gallery prior to delivery dates, contact us to arrange or artworks may be delivered unframed and will be framed at the gallery.
1.3 Entry forms can be completed either:
- on the RQAS website,
- emailed to: entries@rqas.com.au
- or are to be returned to Petrie Terrace Gallery at Unit 3, 162 Petrie Terrace Brisbane.
1.3 The successful completion and submission of entry form, image(s) and payment will be considered as receipt of payment and entry form. The gallery will email you to confirm your place in the exhibition or if we need further information about your entry.
1.4 A selection process will be conducted. After the submissions have been processed, all artists will be advised if they have been selected as a finalist or not. Only finalists will have their work exhibited in the Gallery.
Delivery
2.1 Artworks to be delivered to the Gallery at 3/162 Petrie Terrace, Brisbane, QLD, 4000.
2.1.2 If you would like to deliver via post or courier, works can be sent to Gallery from September 2024. Postage to and from gallery needs to be covered by entrant, and delivery must be within gallery opening hours.
Artwork
3.1 The Artwork must be original work of the exhibitor and not infringe the copyright, moral rights or other rights of any third party. If you are submitting a portrait the entrant must have the subject’s consent to enter the artwork in this exhibition including ensuring they understand the artwork may be displayed to the public.
3.2 Exhibitors agree to images of their work being reproduced in print and online for promotional purposes, to this end please include a digital jpeg file with your online entry or email to entries@rqas.com.au. Save file as “yourname_artworktitle”
3.3 Our gallery is open to the public & they may take photographs of your artwork, you will not hold the RQAS responsible for such photography.
3.6 Entries are accepted, displayed, and returned at the owner’s risk. Freight and insurance are also the owner’s responsibility. All care will be taken, but no responsibility accepted for loss or damage.
3.8 Should any dispute arise where no specific ruling is laid down the RQAS Management Committee decision is final.
Presentation
4.1 The work must be suitably presented and ready to be safely displayed.
4.2 2D works must be ready to hang on the wall using medium “D” rings placed approximately 5cm from the top of the frame, with wire or string between. If works are not ready to hang there will be an additional fee of $20 per artwork
4.3 “ Freestanding” works must be ready to be safely displayed on plinth, Entrants are welcome to supply their own plinth or displays- please contact the gallery to discuss
4.4 Artworks MUST be dry and clean.
4.5 Artworks will only be displayed at the discretion of the Gallery, we will not display artwork deemed unsafe, offensive, or unsuitable.
4.6 Any questions artists have during installation must be addressed to the Manager or their representative.
Sales
5.1 Artwork must be for sale, please allow for RQAS commission and any applicable GST when setting price.
5.2 The gallery will charge 27.5% commission (including GST) on all sales.
5.3 We offer 3-month lay-by options for buyers. Any lay-by not finalised within this time will have the artwork returned to the Artist.
5.4 Artists will be paid for any sales after the end of the exhibition OR when any lay-by is paid in full.
Pick up/Bump Out
6.1 Works not collected within three months of the exhibition closing date may be disposed of at the discretion of the RQAS Management Committee.
Events
7.1 We request all entrants and their guests book for opening and other events.
