The RQAS is hosting an end of year exhibition to delight all members and their guests. The exhibition will showcase a variety of artwork styles and mediums. This is an ideal opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping and give the wonderful gift of art.
This is an open exhibition and artists are invited to present their work in a theme of their choice, using any medium and style.

There is no theme for this exhibition & entrants can submit 2D or 3D artworks in any media.
Terms & Conditions
Entry
1.1 Completed entry forms are to be returned, with the entry fee to: entries@rqas.com.au or Unit 3, 162 Petrie Terrace Brisbane before 12 noon Tuesday 17th November 2020.
1.2 Please note the completion and submission of this form and payment should be considered as acceptance to exhibit in this show – the gallery will NOT contact you to confirm your place in the exhibition. We will only contact entrants if we need further information about your entry.
1.3 Entry fee per artwork $30 per entry (RQAS Brisbane Branch Members $20)
1.4 Entry fees are not refundable, regardless of artwork is accepted or not.
Delivery
2.1 Artworks to be delivered to the Gallery at 3/162 Petrie Terrace, Brisbane, QLD, 4000. between 10am and 12 noon on Tuesday 17th November 2020.
2.2 If you are not able to deliver at this time please contact the gallery to make alternative arrangements once your entry form has been submitted.
Artwork
3.1 Entries must be the original work of the exhibitor.
3.2 Exhibitors agree to images of their work being reproduced in print and online for promotional purposes, to this end please include a digital jpeg file with your online entry or email to entries@rqas.com.au. Save file as “yourname_artworktitle”
3.3 All works need to be easily carried by 1 person.
3.4 Each artwork must not exceed 1.5 m wide.
3.5 Entries are accepted, displayed, and returned at the owner’s risk. Freight and insurance are also the owner’s responsibility. All care will be taken, but no responsibility accepted for loss or damage.
3.6 Any questions artists have during installation must be addressed to the gallery director or their representative.
3.7 Should any dispute arise where no specific ruling is laid down the committee’s decision is final.
Presentation
4.1 The work must be suitably presented and ready to be safely displayed with the appropriate hardware.
4.2 Framed artworks and works on canvas or otherwise mounted must be ready to hang using “D” rings placed approximately 5 to 10cm from the top of the frame. Wire or string is not required.
4.3 Clearly mark the artist’s name, contact details, title of work, and price on the artwork.
4.4 Place an artwork label on the back but hanging below the edge of the painting on the lower right-hand side as seen from the front.
4.5 For 3D artworks please place label so it can be seen without lifting the work.
4.6 Artworks MUST be dry and clean.
4.7 Artworks will only be displayed at the discretion of the Gallery, we will not display artwork deemed unsafe, offensive, or unsuitable.

Sales
5.1 Artwork must be for sale. Include commission and any applicable GST in price.
5.2 The gallery will charge 27.5% commission (including GST) on all sales.
5.3 We offer 3-month lay-by options for buyers. Any lay-by not finalised within this time will have the artwork returned to the Artist.
5.4 Artist will be paid for any sales after the end of the exhibition OR when any lay-by is paid in full.
Pick up
6.1 Entries may ONLY be picked up at the end of the exhibition. Bump out is Friday 18th December 2020 10am to 3pm.
6.2 Works not collected within three months of the exhibition closing date may be disposed of at the discretion of the RQAS Management Committee.
Events & Prizes
7.1 Opening Night is 7pm Friday 20th November 2020. All entrants and their guests must book in to opening event.
7.2 People’s choice will be awarded at the end of the Exhibition. Winner will receive free Membership to RQAS Brisbane Branch for 12 months.
