Terms & Conditions
1.1 Completed entry forms are to be returned, with the entry fee to: firstname.lastname@example.org or Unit 3, 162 Petrie Terrace Brisbane Monday 11th January.
1.2 Please note the completion and submission of this form and payment should be considered as acceptance to exhibit in this show – the gallery will NOT contact you to confirm your place in the exhibition. We will only contact entrants if we need further information about your entry.
1.3 Entry fee per artwork $20 per entry (RQAS Brisbane Branch Members $10, Tutors no charge.)
1.4 Entry fees are not refundable, regardless of whether the artwork is accepted or not.
2.1 Artworks to be delivered to the Gallery at 3/162 Petrie Terrace, Brisbane, QLD, 4000, Tuesday 19th January, 10am – 12pm.
2.2 If you are not able to deliver at this time please contact the gallery to make alternative arrangements once your entry form has been submitted.
3.1 Entries must be the original work of the exhibitor.
3.2 Exhibitors agree to images of their work being reproduced in print and online for promotional purposes, to this end please include a digital jpeg file with your online entry or email to email@example.com. Save file as “yourname_artworktitle”
3.3 All works need to be easily carried by 1 person.
3.4 Each artwork must not exceed 1.5 m wide.
3.5 Entries are accepted, displayed, and returned at the owner’s risk. Freight and insurance are also the owner’s responsibility. All care will be taken, but no responsibility accepted for loss or damage.
3.6 Any questions artists have during installation must be addressed to the gallery director or their representative.
3.7 Should any dispute arise where no specific ruling is laid down the committee’s decision is final.
4.1 The work must be suitably presented and ready to be safely displayed with the appropriate hardware.
4.2 Framed artworks and works on canvas or otherwise mounted must be ready to hang using “D” rings placed approximately 5 to 10cm from the top of the frame. Wire or string is not required. Unframed works must be neatly presented and able to be hung using magnets, or presented in a folio.
4.3 Clearly mark the artist’s name, contact details, title of work, and price on the artwork.
4.4 Place an artwork label on the back but hanging below the edge of the 2D artwork on the lower right-hand side as seen from the front.
4.5 For 3D artworks please place label so it can be seen without lifting the work.
4.6 Artworks MUST be dry and clean.
4.7 Artworks will only be displayed at the discretion of the Gallery, we will not display artwork deemed unsafe, offensive, or unsuitable.
5.1 Artwork does not need to be for sale but if it is, please allow for RQAS commission and any applicable GST when setting price.
5.2 The gallery will charge 27.5% commission (including GST) on all sales.
5.3 We offer 3-month lay-by options for buyers. Any lay-by not finalised within this time will have the artwork returned to the Artist.
5.4 Artists will be paid for any sales after the end of the exhibition OR when any lay-by is paid in full.
Pick up/Bump Out
6.1 Entries may ONLY be picked up at the end of the exhibition. Bump out is Monday 1st February 10am-12pm.
6.2 Works not collected within three months of the exhibition closing date may be disposed of at the discretion of the RQAS Management Committee.
Events & Prizes
7.1 Opening Night is Friday 22nd January 7pm. All entrants and their guests must book in to opening event.
7.2 People’s choice will be awarded at the end of the Exhibition. Winner will receive free Membership to RQAS Brisbane Branch for 12 months.
