This is a hands-on session to inspire you to look differently at the clothes that already exist in your wardrobe and OP shops. As a self-taught sewist who makes or adapts most of her clothes, the session begins with a “show and tell” of garments from Jane’s own wardrobe. Please bring a few garments from your wardrobe that you love but aren’t wearing for some reason. We discuss redesign concepts and revival possibilities, and upcycle using hand-stitch within the timeframe available. Along the way, you will learn the basics of mending by making your own needle roll and learning to hand-stitch. Workshop will suit beginners and intermediate.

Join us for Jane’s workshop on Saturday, 26th of August from 12:30pm to 3:30pm at Petrie Terrace Gallery.

Ticket Prices:

$80 for RQAS members

$90 for non-members
