Exhibiting together again for the third consecutive year at Petrie Terrace Gallery, Art Psychotherapists Bethany, Claudje, Jane, Jannie and Tabitha have exhibited together each year since graduating from UQ’s Master of Mental Health, Art Therapy in 2007. Exhibiting together connects them.
This year’s exhibition, CONNECTED VISIONS, offers a glimpse into the world of five working art therapists. Connected Visions is about the complexity of connections which art therapy offers participants, including the connection to the therapist through relationship, connection to the art-making process through various mediums, and connection to one’s own journey through becoming more self-aware.
Whatever form the visions take- they offer new ways of seeing, and therefore new ways of being. The connected visions found through art therapy can be life-changing, and as art therapists we each enjoy our part in facilitating that valuable experience with others.
Each artist works creatively in their own unique way. The exhibition promises, as usual, to be an exciting collection of paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture and mixed media.
On Friday, 8th of November from 6pm to 8pm, please join us at the gallery for the Opening event. All are welcome to attend!
This exhibition will be on show at Petrie Terrace Gallery from Wednesday, 6th November to Sunday, 10th November.
