Conditions of Entry

A. Entry fees are not refundable, regardless of whether the artwork is accepted or not.

B. Exhibitors agree to images of their work being reproduced in print and online for promotional purposes, to this end please include a digital jpeg file with your entry.

C. Artworks to be delivered to the Gallery at 3/162 Petrie Terrace, Saturday 6th, Tuesday 9th, or Wednesday 10th to take part in the judged exhibitions. We will be contacting all entrants separately as we will need to stagger delivery times to adhere to social distancing measures.

D. Entries must be the original work of the exhibitor. The artwork must not have been awarded a prize in any other exhibition.

E. The work must be suitably presented and ready to be safely displayed with the appropriate hardware. Please clearly mark the artist’s name, contact details, title of work, and price on the artwork.

F. Artwork must not exceed 1.5 m wide.

G. Artworks will only be displayed at the discretion of the Gallery.

H. All works need to be easily carried by 1 person.

I. All artworks must be for sale. The gallery will charge 27.5% commission (including GST) on any sales.

J. Entries are accepted, displayed, and returned at the owner’s risk. Freight and insurance are also the owner’s responsibility. All care will be taken, but no responsibility accepted for loss or damage.

K. Entries may ONLY be picked up at the end of the exhibition on or after Monday 29th June 2020

L. Works not collected within three months of the exhibition closing date may be disposed of at the discretion of the RQAS Management Committee.

M. Any Judge/s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

N. RQAS reserves the right to not present the prize money if there are insufficient quality or quantity of artworks.

O. We offer 3 month lay-by options for buyers. Any lay-by not finalised within this time will have the artwork returned to the Artist.

P. Artist will be paid for any sales after the end of the exhibition OR when any lay-by is paid in full.

Q. Any questions artists have during installation must be addressed to the gallery director or their representative.

R. Should any dispute arise where no specific ruling is laid down the committees decision is final.

Displaying your artwork:

Framed artworks and works on canvas must be ready to hang using “D” rings placed approximately 5cm from the top of the frame. All artworks must be clearly labelled with the Exhibition, Artist Name, Artwork Title, Medium and Price. Labels can be printed or handwritten.

 Please locate your artwork label on the back but hanging below the edge of the Artwork on the lower right hand side as seen from the front. For 3D artworks please place label so it can be seen without lifting the work.
