This year the RQAS is celebrating our legacy of the strong female artists in our society by holding our inaugural ‘Women’s Work’ exhibition and fundraiser to coincide with International Women’s Day 2019. This group exhibition brings together a diverse range of artists working across many mediums who are addressing the following themes: the female contribution to the arts, equality in the workplace and the concept of ‘Women’s Work’. As a part of this exhibition, we will be fundraising for Share The Dignity, a wonderful charity which assists homeless women and victims of domestic violence.
Don’t miss the official opening event! There will be live music, speeches and the highlight of the evening will be the auctioning off of an artwork by guest artist Sarah Hickey! All funds raised from this auction will go to Share the Dignity and half of all ticket sales for the opening night will go to Share The Dignity.
Tickets $10 at the door, or book online for a 10% discount.
Come along on Saturday the 16 March 2019 @ 2:00 pm to enjoy a discussion panel “Women in the Arts”. Moderated by Gallery Director Rochelle Linquist and including practising artists, as well as those working in the creative fields. Tickets at the door $10 for Adults and $5 for Students, or book online for 10% discount.
‘Women’s Work’ continues until Sunday 17th March.
