Come join us in a celebration of the ever-popular subject of the still life.

From the allegorical content of ”Nature Morte”, to the impressionist’s colourful strokes or the more contemporary examples in the modern and postmodern eras. Still Life has inspired generations of artists to create artworks with or about the inanimate objects around them.

Petrie Terrace Gallery will be hosting Elegant Chaos: a Celebration of the Still Life & inviting artists working in any and all media to take part.
As well as those working in 2D, we encourage 3D artists to take part as well and artisans producing crockery, vases or similar items.
For a 3D display, the entry fee is calculated on the size of the overall display rather than per item. We have limited plinths available so we request that artists supply their own if possible.
