Before retiring to Noosa North Shore 23 years ago Glenise was a well known and award winning fashion designer of Haute Couture winning Queensland Designer of the Year.

Today she is best known for her strong figurative studies and landscape paintings inspired by many journeys – particularly through the Pacific Islands, PNG and Northern Australia. Her background in fashion and theatre design and her passion for colour, texture and form are evident in all her work today – both figurative and landscape.

Glenise uses colour to express emotion and her canvases and mixed media work vibrate with vitality and life. For 23 years the peace nd tranquility and the everchanging light around her studio at Noosa North Shore was a constant source of inspiration for her expressive canvases. Glenise now works from her studio at Pullenvale, Brisbane.

Glenise has had over 15 solo exhibitions at prestigious galleries in Australia and overseas. Her paintings have been selected four times as a finalist in Tattersalls Landscape Prize. Her paintings are represented in government, corporate and private collections in Australia and overseas. Her paintings have won many awards including the Ian Fairweather memorial Prize and the Caloundra Arts Festival. Three of her Pacific paintings were selected by an international jury for exhibition at the Florence Biennale.

For Glenise, life drawing has alsways been central to her artistic development and has allowed her to process what she sees and feels. Now there are 2 books available with 40 of her black and white and coloured figurative images – LOVES FALLS IN LOVE WITH LOVE and OF LOVING AND SENSUALITIES.

Glenise is an active member of the Half Dozen Group Brisbane and the Royal Queensland Art Society.
