DESCRIPTION:[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1523319263370{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_separator color=”custom” border_width=”10″ accent_color=”#4ba686″][vc_column_text] \nFRIENDS brings together eight artists in a collective exhibition of art-makes with divergent art practices: Chrys Zantis; Gillian Richards; Laila Bjornsson; Lien Jansen; Dr Nicola Hooper; Ping Li; Rachael Lee; and Richard Blundell. \nThis exhibition\, which is on show at Petrie Terrace Gallery from Wednesday\, 18th of February to Sunday\, 1st of March\, celebrates a variety of themes and concepts\, by artists linked by a common goal – to create and to share their art\, and to invite visitors to experience something unique and thought provoking. Throughout the exhibition you will also have the opportunity to meet the artists and find out more about their backgrounds and practice. \nDr Christopher (Chris) Bennie\, Coordinator\, Logan Art Gallery\, will be opening the exhibition on Thursday\, 19th of February at 7 pm. \nThanks also to Dr Niomi Sands\, Manager\, Creative Industries\, Logan City Council has prepared the essay introduction for the FRIENDS catalogue.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”custom” border_width=”10″ accent_color=”#4ba686″][/vc_column][/vc_row] \n

SUMMARY:Structure to Soul - Tutored Life Drawing with Scott Breton
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1541476125948{border-radius: 4px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text] \n\nScott Breton is back at Petrie Terrace Gallery to continue his tutored life drawing sessions\, alternating portrait session one week to nude figure pose the next week. For these sessions the focus for demonstrations is on anatomical structures and patterns\, and drawing technique/process. Questions welcome. You may request specific topics which Scott will try to accommodate in subsequent sessions. \nFor the remaining 2 hours of the session\, the life model will provide a single long pose\, either a clothed portrait or figure type session. \nScott will draw alongside so you can see what he is doing\, materials and techniques and so on.
