DESCRIPTION:[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1523319263370{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Don’t miss the solo exhibition by Australian relief block printmaker Wayne Singleton! \nWayne trained as a Stereo Cutter (relief block maker) in the flexographic printing industry with ACI Fibre Packages in Melbourne. He studied art and design\, education and religious education at tertiary level and holds a Diploma of Design\, a Graduate Diploma in Art Education\, a Graduate Diploma in Religious Education and a Bachelor of Education (semiotics major). \nWayne has worked as a Graphic Designer and as a teacher of Art and Design in secondary schools in Victoria and Queensland and as an exhibiting Visual Artist. \nSince 2012 he has been working as a fulltime printmaker and a printmaking workshop tutor at Impress Printmakers Studio\, in Secondary Schools\, and for Community Arts organisations in Brisbane and Regional Queensland. \nWayne says on his professional practice: \n“Printmaking makes me be still and it gives me a grounding that comes from reflecting on my relational place in the world; I draw myself into it. \nI draw and cut my relief blocks in lino. Relief block making has been a constant through my adult life.” \nCut It Out will be on show at Petrie Terrace Gallery from Wednesday\, 14th of May to Sunday\, 25th of May\, 2025. \nThere will also be a free opening event on the Friday\, 16th of May\, 7pm – 9pm.
