Fourth Queensland Figurative Award again in 2020.  \nThe QLD Figurative is a non-acquisitive Art Award open to Queensland Artists for 2D works in which the human figure is integrated in the composition.  \nThe exhibition will be judged by Andrew Bonneau with winners announced at the Biennial Gala Opening on Saturday 12th September. \nThe Royal Queensland Art Society Brisbane Branch is Entry[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] \nHow to Enter: \n1.1 Fill out the entry form\, which is available online at rqas.com.au or at the Petrie Terrace Gallery.\n1.2 Post\, deliver or email your entry form and images to Unit 3\, 162 Petrie Terrace\, Petrie Terrace 4000 or entries@rqas.com.au\n1.3 Image files (in jpeg format only) no larger than 3MB and 300 DPI must accompany each entry. Digital files can be emailed to entries@rqas.com.au or supplied on a clearly labeled CD or USB/Flash Drive. Image files MUST be titled as follows: Your Surname_First Name_Title of Artwork.jpg.\n1.4 Payment and Entry forms must be received by the Gallery by Friday 14th August 2020\nGeneral Conditions: \n2.1 Entries must not have won a prize in any other competition. Entries must not have been entered in an RQAS sponsored exhibition in the last two years.\n2.2 All fees are non refundable and are associated with administration expenses.\n2.3 Paintings submitted must not be substantially different from the image entered.\n2.4 Exhibitors must allow their work to be reproduced\, and all efforts will be made to ensure the necessary acknowledgements of authorship are made.\n2.5 Entrant must be over 18 and a Queensland resident.\n2.6 Proof of address or Personal ID may be required.\n2.7 It is expected that exhibitors attend the Opening Event/ Awards Night. Please confirm attendance to opening night\, Dress code: Dress to impress!\nPreparation of Paintings for Exhibition: \n3.1 Artworks should not exceed 2 square meters (including frame). Stretched canvas is considered to be framed. (example 0.93m wide x 1.6 high=1.488 sq m).\n3.2 “D” Rings of the appropriate size must be securely attached so the loop hangs approximately 5cm from the top of the frame.\n3.3 The RQAS reserves the right to not hang or display paintings.\n3.4 The artwork must be painted in Oil Paint\, Acrylic (or other water based media)\, Mixed Media or as a digitally painted image. A suitably framed and mounted Giclee image is acceptable as an entry for a digitally painted image. A digitally painted image must be a unique artwork\, therefore an edition artwork will not be accepted as an entry.\n3.5 All works must be for sale\, and include GST if applicable to the Artist. RQAS will charge 33% commission on all artwork sold.\nSelection and Judging \n4.1 Selector/s will view all the digital images and select the finalists for the exhibition from the images received. Artists will then be informed if they have been selected as a finalist or not.\n4.2 The Judge will award the prizes from the finalist exhibition.\n4.3 The decision of the Judge is final and no correspondence will be will be entered into.\nDelivery \n5.1 Artworks are accepted\, displayed\, and returned at the owner’s risk. Freight and insurance are also the owner’s responsibility. All care will be taken\, but no responsibility accepted for loss or damage.\nDisplaying your artwork: \nFramed artworks and works on canvas must be ready to hang using “D” rings placed approximately 5cm from the top of the frame. All artworks must be clearly labelled with the Exhibition\, Artist Name\, Artwork Title\, Medium and Price.
