DESCRIPTION:[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1523319263370{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nFor our next ‘ART TALKS’ event\, the Royal Queensland Art Society Brisbane Branch invites its members and the art loving community to: \n“An afternoon with Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Art Prize Judge\, Mostyn Bramley-Moore”\nThe August ART TALKS event is being presented by Mostyn Bramley-Moore\, who is one of the judges of the 2026 Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Art Prize. For this talk he will be discussing his art practice over the years and also discussing art schools. This is something people often ask him about as much experience with them as both a student and teacher\, and he will share some useful observations. \nMostyn Bramley-Moore studied Fine Arts at the University of Sydney\, RMIT University and Pratt Institute (New York). He has exhibited widely in Australia and overseas\, and his work is included in numerous public collections including the Australian National Gallery\, the Art Gallery of NSW\, the National Gallery of Victoria and the Auckland Art Gallery. He completed studio residencies and fellowships at institutions including the Cité Internationale des Arts (Paris)\, the University of St. Andrews (Scotland)\, the University of Hawaii\, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts\, Camberwell College of the Arts (University of the Arts London) and the Valand Academy of Art (Sweden). He taught at several Australian universities and was Head of Visual Arts at Southern Cross University\, Dean of the School of Art at the Victorian College of the Arts (University of Melbourne) and Director of the Queensland College of Art (Griffith University). \nThis talk will be held at Petrie Terrace Gallery on Sunday\, 23rd August from 2pm to 4pm.
