DESCRIPTION:[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1523319263370{padding-top: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nA diverse exhibition of atmospheric watercolours\,  sculptural works in ceramic and mixed media and religious Byzantine style egg tempera icons on wood with 24ct gold. \n  \nThree artist friends explore diverse mediums to showcase vastly different artworks\, united by a quest for their own ideas of spirituality and the role of art in (and beyond ) our world. \n\nValerie Fjellstrom mixes egg tempera with pure pigments and 24 carat gold to create traditional and contemporary Byzantine-style religious icons\, each an explosion of colour\, history and feeling. \nDonnie Wilkes uses watercolour\, inks and pencil to create soft overlapping washes\, textures and depth for her exquisite recreations of plants\, flowers and atmospheric landscapes. \nClare Heaton creates contemporary and futuristic sculptures which use glazed ceramic\, plaster and recycled materials.  Her primary subject is nature – rocks\, volcanos and mountains of our amazing world. \nThe perspectives and styles of each artist are informed by their lived experiences\, training and highly personalised views of art and aesthetics. \n\nOpening Event: 2 to 4pm\, Saturday 7th May 2022[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row] \n
